1lurer.am: The agreement on Russia-Azerbaijan allied cooperation will not in any way affect Russia's obligations to Armenia within the framework of the CSTO and bilateral agreements. Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova stated this during a briefing.

“We consider that this document, the signing of the declaration, does not create any problem for the Russian alliance with Armenia in any direction. We will fulfill all our bilateral obligations to Yerevan, which is our longtime and close ally. In our opinion, the signing of the mentioned declaration with Baku will, as I said, will strengthen the trilateral cooperation between Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia, including security, economic and humanitarian cooperation in the Caucasus,” Zakharova said.

“Moreover, we are constantly updating the bilateral legislative framework with Armenia, which currently includes about 200 documents, including taking into account the changing geopolitical realities in the region,” she added.
