The State Department urged US citizens to reconsider travel to Armenia due to COVID-19 and also not to travel to Artsakh due to armed conflict

The US State Department calls on the US citizens to reconsider travel to Armenia due to COVID-19. This was stated in the message of the US State department published on July 26.

According to it, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a Level 3 Travel Health Notice for Armenia due to COVID-19, indicating a high level of COVID-19 in the country.

The State Department also urges its citizens not to travel to the Nagorno-Karabakh region due to armed conflict.

“The U.S. government is unable to provide emergency services to U.S. citizens in Nagorno-Karabakh as U.S. government employees are restricted from traveling there,” - the message of the State Department reads.
