CEC publishes the names of parties and alliances participating in local government elections |armtimes.com|


On September 25, 2022, elections for local self-government bodies are scheduled in 18 communities of the Republic of Armenia.

Elections of local self-government bodies will be held:

in Alagyaz, Tsaghkahovit, Talin communities of Aragatsotn region,
in Chambarak community of Gegharkunik region,
In Gyulagarak, Alaverdi, Lori Berd, Tashir communities of Lori region
in Charentsavan, Akunk, Byureghavan, Jrvezh communities of Kotayk region,
in Ani community of Shirak region,   
in Sisian, Kajaran communities of Syunik region,
in Areni, Yeghegis communities of Vayots Dzor region and 
in Berd community of Tavush region.

In the Alagyaz community of the Aragatsotn region, the elections of the head of the community and the members of the council of elders will be held by the majority electoral system. In other communities, the elections of the council of elders will be held by the proportional electoral system.

 
As reported by the Central Electoral Commission, 25 parties and alliances of parties submitted documents for the elections of local self-government bodies.

The "Civil Contract" party submitted candidacy papers in all 18 municipalities for local government elections.


"Land of Living" party nominated its candidate in 5 communities.

The "Armenian-Revolutionary Alliance" party will participate in the elections in 4 communities.

The "Fair Armenia" party and the "United Community" bloc will ensure their participation in the elections to be held in both communities.

"Bright Armenia", "Strong Community", "Nzhdehyan Tribe", "Stability", "Democratic Alternative", "For the People", "Armenian National Congress", "Unification", "Unity", "Nation-Community", "Armenian Dream", "Work and Justice", "Developing Community", "Alliance of Defenders of Democracy for the Republic", "One Armenia", "Towards Unity", "Verelk", "Liberal", "Dignified Generation", "Strong Community", parties and party alliances were nominated in one community each.
