Erdogan talked about a possible meeting with Pashinyan, as well as Pelosi's visit to Armenia

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan concluded his visit to New York within the framework of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly with a conversation with journalists, Turkish Anadolu Agency reports.

Among other issues, Erdogan, also spoke about the events taking place in the South Caucasus.  He referred to the visit of Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the US Congress, to Armenia and answered the question: "whether that visit can affect the peace achieved in the South Caucasus after the Karabakh war" and noted that "Pelosi's visit does not have the power to affect the developments in the Caucasus".

"I am sure that in some cases it caused concern. There is no need to exaggerate. Now we see some preparations. After leaving here, we will take appropriate steps," he said.

Erdogan noted that Turkey is currently discussing the issue of participating in the European Political Community summit held in Prague.

"If we participate, presumably Pashinyan will also be there. Maybe we will have a discussion with him on these topics, but we will also take some steps in the Caucasus regarding these issues," Erdogan stated.

The Turkish president noted that all this is still only at the planning stage.

"I will discuss these issues with my brother Aliyev and we will take our steps according to it," Aliyev said.
