Iran is ready to hold consultations with Azerbaijan and Armenia to help resolve differences peacefully

Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian met with Jeyhun Bayramov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, within the framework of the UN General Assembly session in New York. The Iranian Foreign Ministry issued a message about this.

It is noted that Iran's Foreign Minister spoke about some reports and testimonies regarding changes in the South Caucasus, reaffirming Tehran's clear position to openly and decisively oppose any border changes.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs added that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to hold consultations with the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia to help resolve differences peacefully.

As noted in the press release of Iran's Foreign Ministry, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister denied claims about geopolitical changes in the region and noted that Azerbaijan seeks to resolve territorial and border disputes with Armenia through regional cooperation.
