Criminal proceedings were initiated in connection with the murder of three servicemen by the Azerbaijani side
The RA Investigative Committee initiated criminal proceedings regarding the murder of three servicemen as a result of shelling by the Azerbaijani armed forces.
"According to preliminary information, on September 28, 2022, at around 20:00, one of the positions of the defense station located in Jermuk was shelled by the Azerbaijani armed forces, as a result of which the commander of the rifle battalion of the N military unit of the RA Defense Force, lieutenant colonel Nahapet Margaryan, of the rifle battalion of the same military unit received fatal shrapnel injuries, deputy commander, contract soldier, Sergeant Hovhannes Sukiasyan and mandatory conscript soldier, Private Edward Hovhannisyan," the report of the Investigative Committee stated.
An investigation is underway.
