The authorities of Azerbaijan will increase the funding of the defense and national security sector from the 2023 state budget by 4.6 percent, reaching 5 billion 320.1 million manats (3 billion 129.5 million USD at the current exchange rate).

 It is noted that such expenses are planned by the 2023 state budget project of Azerbaijan, which was presented to the Milli Majlis.  In general, it is planned to allocate 16 percent of all budget expenditures to defense and national security next year.
