Russia is really concerned about the situation around the Lachin Corridor - Peskov

On December 27, Russian President Vladimir Putin and RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan discussed in detail the situation in the Lachin Corridor. This was announced by the press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, noting that the Russian Federation is really concerned about the situation around the Lachin Corridor.

"The Russian Federation continues and intends to continue its mediation efforts, fulfilling first of all the agreements that have been reached on a tripartite basis," the Kremlin spokesman said.

Peskov emphasized that "the Russian side will continue its work and efforts in contacts with both Yerevan and Baku".

It should be reminded that on December 27, the meeting of Nikol Pashinyan and Vladimir Putin was held, during which Nikol Pashinyan stated:

"At the moment, the main issue, the most urgent issue is the crisis that exists in the Lachin Corridor. You know, the Lachin Corridor has been closed for almost 20 days. It is the zone of responsibility of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno Karabakh. I would like to remind that according to the tripartite statement of the President of Russia, the President of Azerbaijan, and the Prime Minister of Armenia, the Lachin Corridor should be under the control of Russian peacekeepers, and the Republic of Azerbaijan has guaranteed the unimpeded movement of passengers, goods, and people through the Lachin Corridor."
