2 deaths because of the H1N1 ("Swine" flu) virus have been registered in Armenia.
Romella Abovyan, Head of the Department of Epidemiology of Infectious and Non-Infectious Diseases of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention, stated this during the press conference on influenza and acute respiratory infections in the Republic.
"The deceased patients were 35 years old. Moreover, one of them had chronic diseases, a 4th-degree of obesity. In other words, he was in the risk group," he elaborated, emphasizing that going to the doctor at the initial stage of the disease will help save lives.
