The Azerbaijani side has again completely blocked the only gas pipeline entering Artsakh from Armenia

Today, on January 21, the Azerbaijani side again completely blocked the only gas pipeline entering Artsakh from Armenia, Artsakh Information Center reports.

"The natural gas cut off again in Artsakh at -5 degrees on the Celsius scale proves once again that official Baku is conducting an open terrorist policy against the 120,000 besieged civilian population of Artsakh, in the presence of the international community," the statement of the information center reads.

It should be noted that earlier, on January 9, the only Goris-Stepanakert 110 KV high-voltage line was also disrupted because of the intervention of the Azerbaijani side, depriving the residents of Artsakh of the possibility of a stable supply of electricity.

In the current weather conditions, the supply of electricity is carried out at the expense of Artsakh's limited internal resources, with fan outages lasting 6 hours a day, which has a tendency to continuously increase," the statement said.

It should be noted that after another blockade, on January 20, the Azerbaijani side partially opened the only gas pipeline entering Artsakh from Armenia.

It should be reminded that Since December 12, 2022, Azerbaijan has closed the Lachin Corridor connecting Artsakh to Armenia, as a result of which 120,000 residents of Artsakh, including 30,000 children, are under siege. 1100 civilians, including 270 minors, cannot return to Artsakh from RA. On January 17, 19 children returned home on the Goris-Stepanakert road accompanied by Russian peacekeeping troops.

Because of the blockade, it is not possible to deliver 400 tons of food and medicine from RA to Artsakh every day. There is a shortage of food and medicine.

13 children are in the neonatal and intensive care units, and 9 patients are in the intensive care unit. 5 are in critical condition. During these days, 28 Armenians and 4 foreigners in need of emergency medical care were transferred to RA only through the mediation of the Red Cross, and one of the patients died in Artsakh.

Since January 10, due to the accident, the electricity supply in Artsakh has been carried out on a four-hour schedule.
