Levon Ter-Petrosyan met with Ambassador Sergey Kopirkin in his private residence

Today, on January 27, RA First President Levon Ter-Petrosyan met with Sergey Kopirkin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Armenia, at his private residence. This was reported by Arman Musinyan, the spokesman of the RA's first president.

During the conversation, President Ter-Petrosyan particularly emphasized the need for the immediate and uninterrupted re-operation of the Lachin Corridor.

Since December 12, 2022, Azerbaijan has closed the Lachin Corridor connecting Artsakh to Armenia, as a result of which 120,000 residents of Artsakh, including 30,000 children, are under siege. 1100 civilians, including 270 minors, cannot return to Artsakh from RA. 19 children returned home on the Goris-Stepanakert road.

It is not possible to deliver 400 tons of food and medicine from RA to Artsakh every day.

9 children are in neonatal and intensive care units, 16 are in the intensive care unit, and 6 are in critical condition. During this period, 49 Armenians and 4 foreigners in need of emergency medical care were transferred to RA through the mediation of the Red Cross. One of the patients died in Artsakh.

Fan power outages are implemented 3 times a day for 2 hours. There is a food coupon system. The gas supply has been partially restored.
