French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian met with Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov yesterday and discussed the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, French Foreign Ministry reports.
“A year after the end of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh, Jean-Yves Le Drian received Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, held separate meetings with them, then a joint meeting under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group,” the ministry noted adding, “The French Foreign Minister confirmed France’s desire to promote the intensification of dialogue between the parties for the long-term peace in the South Caucasus.”
Le Drian also stressed that “France stands for the active efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs to achieve this goal.” The Minister confirmed his readiness to continue negotiations with partners.
