Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

The parties discussed issues related to the practical implementation of the agreements reached by the heads of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia in Sochi on October 31, 2022, as well as issues related to the previous joint statements of the three countries at a high level, the Kremlin informed.

The importance of continuing the work in a tripartite format in the direction of ensuring security on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan and restoring transport links in the South Caucasus was emphasized.

Prospects for the development of cooperation in the energy sector were also discussed.
