Arthur Vanetsyan thinks there won't be post-election tensions

After voting and leaving the poll station, the PM candidate of the "I Have Honor" (“Pativ Unem”) alliance Arthur Vanetsyan had a conversation with reporters.

"Today it's a choice for the sake of Armenia's existence. The government is in agony, all the steps are taken on weakening the positions of the opposition. They understand that they will never have a chance to reproduce or form a government in Armenia, so they are making every effort to cling to their seats," he said.

Speaking about the possible tension after the elections, Vanetsyan said that the opposition is not responsible for it.

"The de facto government is responsible for it. I think there will be no post-election developments because the election results will prove who will form the government in Armenia," he added.

Referring to the violations during the elections, Vanetsyan said, "There are alarms about many violations, for instance, our ballots are not given to our voters, the government representatives direct to the elections, particularly the pressure exerted by the military and the police on our activists and headquarters. Representatives of our headquarters in Yeghegnadzor were arrested yesterday. No solid evidence has been presented to the legal team. I think it was done for one purpose only. 72 hours, that is, to remove our teammates from the electoral process during the elections," Vanetsyan added.

Commenting on the scandalous recording where the father of the "I Have Honor" alliance member Anna Mkrtchyan is forcing to go and vote for the alliance, Arthur Vanetsyan said that there is nothing scandalous.

"If it was abnormal, there would be a criminal case, there would be people punished. I did not listen to the recording, I read it in the media, because I do not see anything unprecedented or sensational in it," he stated.
