Robert Kocharyan, the second president of Armenia and the leader of the “Armenia” (Hayastan) alliance, wrote on his Facebook page․
"Since the last statement of the Azerbaijani president containing threats against Armenia enough time has passed, and the society was expecting an adequate response on behalf of the country. Unfortunately, once again that didn′t happen.
Fear and uncertainty are not respected in international relations. Threats against Armenia and the Armenian people require a tough and clear response. Armenia must show will to protect its territorial integrity and the dignity of the people.
As long as Armenia is led by someone who lost the war, this humiliating picture will continue.
Moreover, the authorities, due to their inferiority complex, are arresting Syunik community leaders. They are arresting those who defended the safety of the residents of the region.
