The situation is tense, intense battles are going on, Karen Sargsyan, the Governor of Gegharkunik, told RFE/RL’s Armenian Service.
According to him clashes in Sotk, Verin Shorja and Akhparadzor continue.
"In the morning at a certain time, for almost 40 minutes there were no shots, then the shots started again and continue up to this point," he said.
The governor had no data on civilian casualties, he said that there were wounded among soldiers, they were taken to the Martuni MC, and then to Yerevan.
According to Karen Sargsyan, the Governor of Gegharkunik, as of 16:00 there are at least 43 wounded. "According to the data for the morning 4 soldiers are dead, we have no other information after that."
