The fourth president of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, issued a statement regarding the invasion of the sovereign territory of Armenia by Azerbaijan, shelling, and shelling of Armenian positions, settlements, and civil infrastructures.

Armen Sargsyan noted that he is doing everything in the direction of presenting the whole truth and reality about Azerbaijani aggression to international partners.

"Our country once again faced brutal and open aggression. Azerbaijan's military and political goals are clear and understandable, but in order to achieve them, it must be able to force us to surrender and stop believing in ourselves. We cannot allow the enemy to achieve his goal. At this moment, we all need to demonstrate our main qualities: endurance and faith in our own abilities. In moments like these, there is no "I", there is only "we" as a whole, united around a single goal: to protect our statehood," Armen Sargsyan stressed.

At the same time, according to him, it is necessary to continue actively working with the country's foreign friends and allies, convey to the international community the whole essence of what is happening and build a strategy for further actions.

"30 years ago, we were again in the same difficult situation, but we managed to get out of it with dignity, becoming the winner. I am sure that if we can show all our best qualities today, we will definitely overcome this crisis as well," said Sargsyan.
