On December 1, within the framework of the 29th OSCE Ministerial Forum, the RA Foreign Minister met the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.

The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the dynamic development of the Armenia-EU partnership and exchanged ideas on the expansion of the bilateral agenda.

During the meeting, the issues of regional stability and security were at the center of the attention of Ararat Mirzoyan and Josep Borel.

Minister Mirzoyan emphasized the commitment of the Armenian side to establish peace in the South Caucasus and highly appreciated the EU's support in this direction. RA Foreign Minister emphasized that Azerbaijan's non-constructive position and over-religious ambitions hinder efforts to achieve peace and contribute to increasing the probability of escalation. The need to eliminate the consequences of Azerbaijani aggressions against the sovereign territory of RA was emphasized.

The interlocutors emphasized the location of the EU observation mission in Armenia and discussed issues related to its activity.
