In Artsakh, 8 children and 11 adults are still in intensive care units, and the health condition of a 4-month-old baby is serious.

Because of the blocking of the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia by Azerbaijan, scheduled surgeries continue to be suspended in the medical institutions under the authority of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia. This is reported by the Artsakh Ministry of Health.

“8 children are in intensive care and neonatal wards in Arevik medical unit.

Among them, the 4-month-old baby, who was diagnosed with Visceral Leishmaniasis, remains in critical condition and is receiving appropriate treatment.

At “Republican Medical Center”, 11 patients are in the intensive care unit, 4 of them are in critical condition, doctors are doing everything possible to stabilize the condition of the patients. The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan is taking all possible measures to properly overcome the situation created because of the blockade. Aortocoronary shunting of a patient with cardiac pathology transferred from Artsakh to Yerevan was completed successfully. The patient was transferred to the intensive care unit, and the health condition is assessed by specialists as stable.”
