The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, announced that Baku and Yerevan should sign a peace treaty to normalize relations.
"The Armenian-Azerbaijani Karabakh conflict has ended, that conflict has already been settled. Karabakh remains an integral part of Azerbaijan and will always be so," Aliyev asserted in his speech following the talks with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.
"But peace has not been achieved yet. The peace treaty, which will be signed between Azerbaijan and Armenia, will lead to the achievement of peace. We have made our clear proposals, and despite all the suffering, all the destruction, we still believe that a peace treaty should be signed. Otherwise, the risks in our region may increase," the President of Azerbaijan stated.
