Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Çavuşoğlu expressed hope that Armenia will be able to join regional programs in the future.
"We initiated a trilateral-quadrilateral mechanism in order to take advantage of the opportunities that our region presents. We had the Turkey-Azerbaijan-Georgia-Iran tripartite and quadrilateral mechanism and recently when the Northern Corridor ceased to be an alternative, in order to strengthen the Trans-Caspian, East-West Middle Corridor, we also formed tripartite mechanisms with Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, I mean Azerbaijan and Turkey in the center. I hope that Armenia will be able to join us in the future when we implement these plans. Therefore, this Middle Corridor becomes very crucial," Çavuşoğlu said during a panel discussion in Budapest.
