Armenia sent humanitarian aid to Turkey

Armenia sent humanitarian aid to Turkey today.  Humanitarian aid trucks crossed the Margara border bridge and moved to the earthquake-affected region.  This was reported by the press secretary of the RA MFA.

Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan, in turn, published a video on his Twitter page showing how a car loaded with humanitarian aid passes through the Margara Bridge.

It should be reminded that in Turkey, not far from the Syrian border, there was an earthquake of 7.8 magnitude on the night of February 6.  Destruction has taken place in many cities of Turkey and Syria.  There are many victims and wounded.  Aftershocks followed the night's devastating earthquake in Turkey, one of the strongest of which was 7.7 magnitude, the other 5.9.

RA Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia informed that 29 rescuers left Armenia for Syria and 27 rescuers for Turkey to participate in search and rescue operations.
