The President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan today received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Finland to Armenia Kirsti Narinen (residence: Helsinki).
President Khachaturyan welcomed the ambassador and noted that he was happy to see him in Armenia.
During the meeting, issues aimed at expanding friendly relations between Armenia and Finland and deepening cooperation in areas of mutual interest were discussed.
Reference was made to the general regional situation and the problem of the blockade of the Lachine Corridor.
The president noted that Azerbaijan avoids fulfilling the decision of the Hague Court by which the court obliged Azerbaijan to ensure the uninterrupted movement of people, vehicles, and cargo in both directions of the Lachin Corridor.
The president emphasized that this is a completely unacceptable position. Both sides emphasized the imperative to restore the normal activity of the humanitarian corridor.
