On Thursday evening the presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan had a telephone conversation.
According to the Kremlin's official website, Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev "discussed practical measures aimed at ensuring security and stability in the South Caucasus in accordance with the famous tripartite statements of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia."
Thoughts were also exchanged on the development of transport-logistics and economic relations in the region, the message said.
Later, the Azerbaijani side spread the same message.
