The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of RA and the newly appointed Ambassador of Egypt discussed issues of the regional and international agenda

On December 1, Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan was presented with a copy of his credentials by the newly appointed Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Armenia, Soliman Gamil.

The deputy minister congratulated Ambassador Gamil on the occasion of his appointment and wished him fruitful work and success in the implementation of his important mission, expressing his belief that the ambassador will contribute to the further expansion and strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries.

Expressing gratitude for the good wishes, the newly appointed ambassador of Egypt noted that it is a great honor for him to represent Egypt in Armenia, adding that he will invest his maximum efforts in the further development of bilateral multi-sector relations.

The interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues related to Armenian-Egyptian relations, in particular referring to the full bilateral agenda and opportunities for expanding cooperation.

The interlocutors also touched on a number of issues of the regional and international agenda.

Deputy Foreign Minister Mrs. Gamil presented the security situation around Armenia and in the region, particularly the situation created as a result of the Azerbaijani aggression unleashed on the sovereign territory of Armenia on September 13-14.
