Armenian rescuers completed their mission in Syria

On February 13, the Armenian urban search and rescue team completed its search and rescue operations in the Syrian Arab Republic of Aleppo. Already today, February 14, Armenian rescuers arrived in Armenia. This is reported by the rescue service of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs.

They were welcomed by the director of the rescue service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the deputy minister of internal affairs, colonel Kamo Tsutsulyan and the deputy director of the rescue service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, colonel Tigran Petrosyan.

Welcoming the rescuers at the airport, Kamo Tsutsulyan personally thanked the rescuers for their work and selfless service on behalf of himself and the Minister of Internal Affairs.

As a result of the 7-day-long search and rescue operations in the disaster zone, the internationally qualified Armenian city search and rescue team, in cooperation with local support and other international teams, pulled out the bodies of the victims from the rubble using various rescue methods, carried out a large-scale search, first aid and canine teams.

During the short period of their stay in Aleppo, along with the search and rescue operations, the Armenian rescuers organized and conducted a training course for the local Armenian community on the topic "How to act in case of an earthquake?"

Yesterday, the leadership of the Armenian team was received by the governor of Aleppo, who expressed his gratitude to the Armenian rescuers and handed them a letter of thanks from the governorate of Aleppo for their support.
