In terms of ammunition and personnel, we used 50 percent in the 44-day war, so why didn't we use the other 50 percent?
Serzh Sargsyan, the third president of the Republic of Armenia, stated in a conversation with journalists:
"The rulers of the country often try to compare something with a car. Our army was not a "Mercedes", that's for sure, and it couldn't be, because today's "Mercedes" has a history of decades, but our army can be compared to a quality, good car that performed its duties.
They say that the car was not good, but they forget that that car is driven not only by a person who doesn't have a driver's license but by someone who doesn't know how to drive at all. Inevitably, that car will fall into the valley and fall into the valley. Instead of understanding that they need to know how to drive, they say again that we didn't have an army," Serzh Sargsyan.
Referring to the money spent on the army in the past and now, the third president said that all the figures related to money that they publish are a myth, a fairy tale. Because even an ordinary citizen knows very well what the value of one dollar is in 2023, and what it was worth in 1994, 2004, and 2014.
"Our army had enough munitions and military equipment to not end the war like this. Our most powerful weapons were not used, for reasons beyond my understanding. If they were used on time, the situation would be completely different," Serzh Sargsyan emphasized.
