The information spread by the Azerbaijani media that units of the Defence Army allegedly opened fire from a car at Azerbaijani positions does not correspond to reality. From positions adjacent to the settlement of Karmir Shuka in the Martuni district, Azerbaijani servicemen opened indiscriminate fire on the village, as a result of which a car belonging to a civilian parked next to a kindergarten caught fire. [Artsakh Defence Army]
One of the key priorities of our chairmanship is to strengthen the Organization's crisis response mechanisms. Based on this, we expect that the CSTO member states will make joint efforts to further improve these mechanisms, which will undoubtedly serve both the further development of interaction between the member states and the strengthening of the relevant structures and mechanisms of the CSTO. [Nikol Pashinyan]
During the CSTO online summit today President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev thanked Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the current Chair of the CSTO Collective Security Council, for the operative work in approving the necessary documents. An operational group has been sent to Kazakhstan to coordinate the activity of the peacekeeping forces. In order to get acquainted with the situation and meet with the commandership and the authorities of Kazakhstan, I am departing for Kazakhstan tomorrow. [Secretary General of the CSTO Stanislav Zas]
