The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says that the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made him a proposal to meet. In response, Erdogan again spoke about the Zangezur corridor, and insisted that the Armenian side should take concrete steps.
"On the one hand Pashinyan declares that the Armenian side doesn’t discuss the issue of the Nakhichevan corridor and on the other hand expresses a desire to meet with me. If there is a desire to meet with Erdogan, concrete steps must be taken," Turkish President said.
The proposal for the meeting was conveyed to him through the Prime Minister of Georgia, whom Pashinyan met about ten days ago when he went to Georgia on an official visit.
"If they are sincere in their desire to start a dialogue through the Georgian Prime Minister and are ready to take steps to start a new process, then we will also meet them halfway," Erdogan said.
