The parliamentary factions "Armenia" (Hayastan) and "I have Honor" (Pativ Unem) have issued a statement․

"Taking into account the shared information, we inform you that Alen Simonyan told the opposition factions the proposal to hold a closed meeting with Nikol Pashinyan.

Back in October 2020, during the war, meetings were held in a similar format with Nikol Pashinyan, these meetings are still manipulated by him.

During this time, the authorities have repeatedly proved that they are secretly conducting suspicious negotiations, promoting exclusively their own anti-national agenda. Any negotiation process itself is not a state or military secret.

The format of closed meeting on issues related to the Armenian people is unacceptable. The opposition factions stated that they would take part in the meeting exclusively in open, equal conditions, which was rejected, therefore, we confirm our position regarding the inexpediency of closed meetings," the statement reads.
