The financial means of all the candidates nominated by the pre-election list of the "Prosperous Armenia" party together make 3 billion 391 million 920 thousand AMD, 54 million 320 thousand 450 USD, 5 million 152 thousand 100 Euro, and 900 thousand rubles. All monetary means amount to 34 billion 572 million 257 thousand AMD. Only the funds declared by Gagik Tsarukyan make up 90.3% of the funds of all the candidates of the party.
The leader of the "Sovereign Armenia" party, Davit Sanasaryan claims their objective goal is to be in the parliament and serve the interests of the citizen in all respects․ In an interview with SHANT, Sanasaryan said that there are several reasons for that. He also noted that this situation in Armenia is not the result of the revolution declared by Nikol Pashinyan, but living wrong for many years.
At a meeting with the residents of the Ararat community PM candidate Nikol Pashinyan, who heads the pre-election list of the "Civil Contract" party, stated that in the June 20 snap parliamentary elections the citizens will have the opportunity to force the organizers of the "October 27" case to hold responsibility. Pashinyan noted that since February of 2020, the preliminary investigation of the "October 27" case has been reopened based on the application of the victim's legal successor Anahit Bakhshyan, but later the case has not been investigated because of COVID and the war.
During a briefing with journalists today the leader of the "Bright Armenia" party Edmon Marukyan noted that no political force in Armenia says that it can cancel the document signed on November 9. He stressed that everyone understands that the cancellation of that document is a new war. "If Armenia had the potential for a new war, this invasion of the Syunik region could turn into a war, but we are going through negotiations. All those who say that after the elections they can come and get the Azerbaijanis out of Armenia's territory through war or start a war, must either be seeking adventures or be a liar. We must take into account the opportunities of the country, and we have just come out of a really destructive war. The document of November 9 was implemented by the Armenian side, both de jure and de facto, it was not implemented by Azerbaijan," he stated.
Former Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan has issued a statement on the upcoming parliamentary elections expressing his support for Robert Kocharyan. "Our reality today is a minefield that the country must pass through. There is no possibility to bypass. It is necessary to go through it with big effectiveness and minimal losses. It is necessary to realize the price of each mistake and the inadmissibility of seeking adventures. Robert Kocharyan can provide that. The combination of personal and administrative qualities required of a director during his occupation in government positions, such as his experience in a competitive and multicultural business environment, allows him to build a professional team to get the country out of crisis and lead to a prosperous future," he wrote.
The PM candidate of the Armenian Democratic Party Tigran Arzakantsyan, whose electoral registration was invalidated recently, has sued the Central Electoral Commission. The Judicial Information System reports about this. He has applied to the Administrative Court, demanding to invalidate the decision No. 133-A of the Central Electoral Commission dated 10.06.2021, by which the CEC had declared Arzakantsyan's registration invalid. For the second time, the Administrative Court invalidated the decision of the Central Electoral Commission on recognizing the poster with the image of "Life and Freedom" ("Kyanq ev Azatutyun") book by "Armenia" alliance's PM candidate Robert Kocharyan with the caption "Building Armenia" associated with the pre-election campaign.
At the June 13 sitting, the RA Central Electoral Commission examined the applications of Edgar Ghazaryan and Naira Zohrabyan for the invalidation of Nikol Pashinyan's registration as a PM candidate and the invalidation of the "Civil Contract" party's electoral list. CEC rejected both of the applications noting that they were submitted by an incompetent structure.
During a meeting with the voters in Noyemberyan the leader of the "Armenia" alliance Robert Kocharyan stated that the current government no longer exists, and it is just a ghost trying to repeat the success of misleading the people. "Since they have nothing to say and there's no result of work, they attack others and put the blame for the failures on them, " said Kocharyan.
