Azerbaijan violates line of contact in Artsakh – Russian MoD 

A confirmed violation of the line of conact in Martakert region of Artsakh has been recorded, the Defense Ministry of Russia reports.

"The command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, in cooperation with the representatives of Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan, is taking measures to resolve the incident," the statement said.

Ongoing cooperation is maintained with the General Staffs of the Armed Forces of Armenia and Azerbaijan to ensure the security of Russian peacekeepers and prevent possible incidents.

Artsakh InfoCenter reports that on April 15, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces penetrated into the neutral zone of the inter positional area of ​​the line of contact near the settlement of Seysulan of the Martakert region. As a result of the negotiations undertaken by the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Artsakh, the Azerbaijani troops have agreed to return to their starting positions.

In this context, Ararat Mirzoyan stressed the importance of Russia's mediation efforts, including as a co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group. 

 

President of Armenia met with Ambassador of Greece and Lithuania

On April 15, President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hellenic Republic to Armenia Evangelos Tournakis. The sides focused on the importance of developing cooperation between the two friendly countries in all directions, expanding the current agenda and implementing future-oriented initiatives. They also exchanged views on regional developments, as well as current international issues and challenges. 

President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received Ambassador of Lithuania to Armenia Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė. President Vahagn Khachaturyan and Ambassador Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė both expressed confidence that through joint efforts, they will contribute to the expansion and further deepening of the Armenian-Lithuanian agenda. The interlocutors stressed that the two countries have great potential for cooperation in the fields of economy, high technologies, education, and culture.
