The soldier considered missing since September 14, was found

Private Samvel Grigori Antanyan, missing since September 14, during the large-scale Azerbaijani military aggression, was found on September 27.

The health condition of the serviceman is satisfactory.  This was reported by the press spokesman of the Ministry of Defense.

Situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border

On September 28, starting at 18:00, the units of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, using mortars and large-caliber rifles, opened fire in the direction of the combat positions located in the eastern direction of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The Armenian side resorted to retaliatory actions, RA Ministry of Defense reports.

As of 22:00, the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border has relatively stabilized. As a result of Azerbaijani provocation, the Armenian side has 3 victims.

RA Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan and the assistant of the Azerbaijani President Hikmet Hajiyev met

On September 27, at the initiative of US President Joe Biden's National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, a meeting between the Secretary of the RA Security Council Armen Grigoryan and the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev took place at the White House. The RA Security Council reported this.

The parties discussed the long-term peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh problem and the need to establish peace in the region.  Eliminating the consequences of recent aggression was highlighted.

French Defense Minister reaffirmed the position of France that Azerbaijani troops must be withdrawn from the territory of Armenia

On September 27, within the framework of the working visit to the Republic of France, the meeting of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan and the Minister of Defense of the Republic of France Sebastien Lecorne took place, RA Ministry of Defense reports.

At the request of his French colleague, Suren Papikyan presented the situation created as a result of the Azerbaijani military aggression of September 13.  Sebastien Lecornu reaffirmed the French state position regarding the issue, that is, the Azerbaijani troops should be withdrawn from the territory of the Republic of Armenia.

Lavrov and Bayramov discussed the current situation in the region, including the implementation of tripartite statements

On September 28, 2022, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeihun Bayramov.

The Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan reported that the ministers discussed the current situation in the region, including issues related to the implementation of tripartite statements.

During the telephone conversation, there was also an exchange of views on current issues of the cooperation agenda of the two states and issues of mutual interest.

The US Senate proposes imposing sanctions on Azerbaijani officials 

US Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Menendez has introduced a resolution condemning the illegal attack by Azerbaijani forces against Armenia and calling on the United States to immediately end all security assistance to Azerbaijan.

The resolution presented yesterday requires an international investigation of Azerbaijani war crimes and American sanctions.
