The Armed Forces of Azerbaijan opened fire in the direction of the Armenian positions: The enemy also used a mortar

On November 29, at 11:10 p.m., the units of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan opened fire from rifle weapons of different calibers in the direction of the Armenian positions located in the eastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border zone.  The enemy also used a mortar. The Armenian side had no losses. 

Later, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan went on spreading misinformation. The widespread report that the Defense Forces opened fire on the Azerbaijani positions located in the occupied territories of Shushi and Askeran regions of the Republic of Artsakh between 2:40 p.m. and 3:50 p.m. on November 30 is not true.

During the day, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan continued spreading misinformation that allegedly the units of the RA Armed Forces on November 30, at 19:40, opened fire in the direction of the Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border zone, is another misinformation, RA Ministry of Defense reports.

The French National Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution supporting Armenia and proposing sanctions against Azerbaijan

 Today the National Assembly of the Republic of France unanimously adopted a resolution supporting Armenia and proposing sanctions against Azerbaijan. Among other provisions, the resolution of the French National Assembly calls for the immediate and unconditional release and return of all Armenian prisoners of war to their homeland.

The resolution offers the government to consider the possibility of applying individual sanctions in case of the continuation of attacks and occupation of the sovereign territory of Armenia by Azerbaijan. Calls on the government to continue mediation efforts in order to solve the security problem of the Armenian population of Nagorno-Karabakh.

  • Ambassador-at-Large of Armenia Edmon Marukyan commented on the statement of the Azerbaijani foreign ministry according to which during the meetings in Prague and Sochi it has not been clarified based on what maps the border delimitation between Armenia and Azerbaijan should be carried out.
