Armenian rescuers continue their search operations in Adıyaman - Garo Palyan

Garo Paylan, an Armenian member of the Parliament of Turkey, visited the region affected by the earthquake.

"The Armenian rescue team continues the search for victims of the earthquake in another collapsed building in Adyaman. We hope to find the survivors," Paylan wrote on Twitter.

It should be reminded that on February 7, Armenia sent search and rescue teams to Turkey and Syria.

A new report of the European Parliament condemns Azerbaijan, assesses Armenia as the regional leader in terms of democracy

The European Parliament's  Committee on Foreign Affairs has prepared a new report reviewing the EU's relations with Armenia, which calls on Azerbaijan to withdraw its troops from the territory of Armenia, emphasizes that any peace treaty must include the territorial integrity of Armenia, the rights and security of the Armenian population of Nagorno Karabakh, the quick and safe return of refugees and internally displaced persons to their homes and praises the work done by Armenia in the direction of democratic reforms, as a result of which Armenia has become a leader of democracy in the region.

In the new report, the MEPs strongly condemn the large-scale military attack on Armenia by Azerbaijan in September 2022, which violated previous attempts to achieve peace and led to the occupation of the sovereign territory of Armenia by Azerbaijani forces.

Emphasizing that this latest aggression has nothing to do with the long-term conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, the report calls on the Azerbaijani authorities to withdraw troops from all parts of Armenian territory.

The Russian Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group visits Armenia

Armen Grigoryan, the secretary of the RA Council of Ministers, met with Igor Khovaev, the Russian Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, and the special representative of the Russian Foreign Minister, Igor Khovaev.

According to the Security Council, the interlocutors at the meeting discussed the ongoing negotiations on the conclusion of the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace treaty, the implementation of the points of the November 9 declaration and the blockade of the Lachin Corridor by Azerbaijan, and the resulting humanitarian crisis.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Igor Khovaev, the Special Representative of the Foreign Minister of Russia on the issues of supporting the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the Russian Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group.

The interlocutors referred to the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh because of Azerbaijan's illegal blockade of the Lachin Corridor and the steps to overcome it.

Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized the fact of Azerbaijan's other violation of the trilateral declaration of November 9, 2020, and the need for full implementation of the obligations assumed by the declaration.

Issues related to the opportunities for normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the Nagorno-Karabakh issue were also discussed.

The idea of ​​holding a tripartite meeting of the foreign ministers of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan is being discussed

In order to stabilize the situation in the region, the idea of ​​holding a tripartite meeting of the heads of the foreign affairs departments of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan, Sergey Lavrov, Ararat Mirzoyan, and Jeihun Bayramov is being discussed.  Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov announced this in a conversation with journalists on Thursday.

 "We do not give up this idea.  We want to make the most of our resources in terms of providing platforms within existing agreements and providing a framework for further movement towards stabilization."
