Later, after crossing the Margara bridge from Armenia to Turkey, Armenian trucks were met by the head of Igdir emergency department. After the democratic procedure, the Armenian trucks left for the place where the disaster happened a few days ago.

T24 also noted that after the 1988 Spitak earthquake, the aid collected by the Red Crescent in Turkey was also sent to Armenia through the Margara Bridge.

"The Turkey-Armenia border, which was closed for thirty years, was opened for humanitarian aid. Let's hope that our solidarity will be permanent," he wrote on Twitter.

EU Special Representative Toivo Klaar also referred to Armenia's support to Turkey, which suffered from the earthquake.

"In the face of so much tragedy in Turkey, it is heartwarming to see the support that its neighbor 🇦🇲has provided and the positive response this has engendered," he wrote.

Europe must finally act against this large-scale humanitarian crisis: French member of the European Parliament

Francois-Xavier Bellamy, a French member of the European Parliament, and head of the delegation of the "Les Républicains - LR" party in the European Parliament was today at the beginning of the road leading to the Lachine Corridor.

"I arrived in Armenia tonight and I am at the beginning of the road leading to Lachin Corridor. Azerbaijan has blocked this only way to enter Nagorno Karabakh for two months. A few kilometers away from here, one hundred and twenty thousand peaceful Armenians live cut off from the world, deprived of everything. Europe must finally act against this large-scale humanitarian crisis because we have no right to leave the Armenian people alone in the face of the new threat of ethnic cleansing, and because, in fact, the security of our countries is also at stake here," he wrote on  Facebook.
