The meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Luxembourg took place

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg, Jean Asselborn, arrived at the RA Foreign Ministry, where he was welcomed by the RA Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ararat Mirzoyan. 

A private conversation between the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Luxembourg is taking place, followed by an extended meeting.

Luxembourg wants the trilateral peace talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan to continue, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn said at a joint press conference with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan in Yerevan.

"The trilateral peace talks that started in 2021 between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, President of the European Council Charles Michel, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev seem to have stopped at this moment. There were encouraging developments. We would like them to continue, Luxembourg supports the resumption of trilateral peace talks so that you can achieve a strong and lasting peace treaty," said the Foreign Minister of Luxembourg.

The opening of the Korean embassy in Armenia was highlighted at the meeting between Alen Simonyan and the newly appointed Korean ambassador

Alen Simonyan, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Armenia.

Congratulating the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador on the assumption of the mission, Alen Simonyan noted that the development of cooperation with the countries of the East Asian region, including Korea, has an important place in the foreign policy agenda of our government.

Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire in Artsakh by using firearms

On February 21, the units of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire in the northern and eastern directions of the contact line by using firearms. There are no casualties on the Armenian side. The ceasefire violation was reported to the command of the Russian peacekeeping troops.

As reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Artsakh, currently the situation on the line of contact is relatively stable.

Court of Justice rejected Azerbaijan’s request regarding applying temporary measures against Armenia

The International Court of Justice unanimously rejected Azerbaijan's request to apply temporary measures against Armenia.

Azerbaijan demanded to apply intermediate measures and to oblige Armenia to “end the laying of mines and the transportation of mines through the Lachin Corridor.”

The court noted that Azerbaijan did not provide evidence that Armenia took steps that impede the right of Azerbaijanis to stay in permanent residence.

Three cases of ceasefire violation were registered in Martakert and Shushi regions.  There are no casualties or injuries.  The command of the Russian peacekeeping force is conducting an investigation with the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides.

 This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

 In thirty observation posts, Russian peacekeepers monitor the situation around the clock and monitor the observance of the ceasefire regime.
