According to the source, Russian peacekeepers are conducting round-the-clock monitoring of the situation in 30 observation posts and monitoring the ceasefire.

It is noted that the command of the Russian peacekeepers continues the negotiation process with the Armenian and Azeri sides regarding the resumption of the unhindered movement of automobile transport along the Stepanakert-Goris road (Lachin Corridor - ed.).

According to him, the EU mission became possible because, as a result of the quadrilateral meeting in Prague, the EU clearly outlined what Armenia is.

"They came to monitor that area, to observe, without this mission and understanding of the area, the observation mission will be at least strange because it is not clear to them what they are observing because the issue arose from the situation when Azerbaijan occupied RA  sovereign territories.  If any mission does not know what RA is, how will it consider whether the territory of RA is occupied or not?”

Toivo Klaar claims EU hails Georgia for acting as a bridge between Armenia and Azerbaijan

Toivo Klaar, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia, met Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.

In an interview with GPB’s First Channel main news program Moambe, Toivo Klaar recalled the PM’s involvement and desire to act as a facilitator “in bringing together Azerbaijan and Armenia.”

The EU Special representative praised and expressed support for Georgia in “acting as a bridge” for peace and stability in the region.

“It is very important that the three countries of the South Caucasus are able to work together and promote peace. And here, Georgia’s role, acting like a bridge between Armenia and Azerbaijan, is undoubtedly very important.

We have discussed with the Prime Minister the previous occasions, and I hope, in the future, to have even more cooperation and collaboration between the European Union and Georgia and between EU and all three Caucasus countries,” he said.

Macron considers lifting the blockade of Nagorno Karabakh a priority

There is no need to endow Russian peacekeepers with a UN mandate in Nagorno-Karabakh, and Baku and Yerevan agree with and support the way they work. Pyotr Ilyichev, Director of the Department of International Organizations of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said this in a conversation with "RIA Novosti".
